To celebrate turning 30 this year, global luxury hotel chain Shangri-La are serving up a birthday treat for those keen to visit China over the next few months. Make a booking via their website between Nov 20-22 to stay at any of their 41 hotels in China and you get to save 30% from the best available room rate. Do note it's only valid for stays from Dec 1 to Feb 28 2015.

Next year will see five new Shangri-La properties opening in China, including Midtown Shangri-La in Hangzhou, which just so happens to be the city were they opened their very first hotel, back in 1984. They now have 88 properties all over the world, including in Yangon, Maldives and Tibet.
