The newly launched steakhouse at the Movenpick Siam Pattaya (033-078-888, goo.gl/5m6OID), T55, has gone full Meatpacking District with its wall-to-wall subway tiles, chalkboards of butcher’s cuts and exposed chiller cabinets of on-the-bone beef.

Make sure you order the succulent 1.1kg tomahawk of Charolais beef, cut from a cow which spent the last 365 days of its life fattening up on grain and served in great slices each big enough to count for a steak in itself.

Get some mac ‘n’ cheese (B500), charred bone marrow (B500) and a house salad (B350) to go with, then remind yourself you're still on Thailand’s Eastern seaboard with the killer views over Na Jomtien Beach—best enjoyed from the after-dinner deck with one of their Negroni 1919s (B350).
