Once upon a time, jumping through green pipes was every Nintendo geek’s dream. But starting next spring, walking with Mario and the gang will become reality. Super Nintendo World is set to open at Osaka’s Universal Studios in time for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. The dreamland will include both Peach and Bowser’s castles, piranha plants, question mark blocks, golden coins and, yes, green pipes. The main two rides will be based on Super Mario Kart and Yoshi. Best of all, a magnetic wristband will let visitors earn points, which can then be transferred back to Nintendo consoles.
