The fifth annual edition of beer and music festival Beerfest Asia 2013 is set to run from June 13-16 at Marina Promenade.

Expect plenty of new brews this year. TSA Wines has brought in 40 new beers for the event. Karambir Khanijou, co-owner of TSA Wines says, “We have brought in over-the-top Brettanomyces beers (wild yeast fermented brews) from American brands Evil Twin and Stillwater to test the market and see if the reception is hit or miss.”

Some other highlights include Archipelago Brewery's latest limited edition beer, a British India Pale Ale ($5), which was created by the local company’s new head brewer Robert Beck. The brew house is also launching a growler made from ceramic glass at the festival. Importer and distributor Ten Green Bottles’ will also offer the latest suds by award-winning Australian label Feral (from $8) and New Zealand brewery 8 Wired (from $16).

Entertainment-wise, the line-up includes Aussie band The Fortunate Sons (June 14-15, 11:15pm/11pm), live stand-up comedians such as Tom Rhodes (June 14-15, 11:15pm/11pm) and Stephan Grant (June 14-15, 9pm) as well as local comedy act, Sons of Singapore (June 14-15, 8pm).
