With the third installment of the Emmy-awarded satirical drama set to film in Samui, Phuket, and Bangkok, Thai fans are eagerly looking forward to the list of local cast members joining the hit series.

Previously, the HBO drama has cast Thai actors Lek Patravadi, Dom Hetrakul, and Tayme Thapthimthong, and Lisa is just the latest celeb that’ll be getting people hyped until its release in 2025.

Whether you’re a Blink (Blackpink fan) or not, you can’t deny Lisa’s star power. As part of the world’s most famous pop quartet working today, Lisa catapulted into global stardom after her debut in 2016—most well known for her rapid fire raps, singing, and dancing prowess.

In 2022, she made history by being the first female and solo artist to win the MTV VMAs in the Best K-pop Video category. Sitting with 101 million followers on Instagram, Lisa is the most followed K-pop idol on the platform, according to the Guinness World Records.

On the home front, everything she touches turns into a “soft power” goldmine, from promoting her hometown Buriram meatball shop to doubling the sales of a Thai inhaler (yadom) with a single picture. “The White Lotus” partnership with the Tourism Authority of Thailand is already working its magic.

Last year, her bandmate Jennie Kim launched an acting career in an HBO original, playing a backstabbing back-up dancer in one of the year’s most controversial shows, “The Idol.”

Will Lisa be following in her member’s footsteps? Or will she be making a cameo as herself? Your guess is as good as ours. In the meantime, you can check out our predictions on the roles for the other Thai cast members here.
