It's no longer a rumor. Ex-Smiths frontman Morrissey is coming to Bangkok.

The 57-year-old performer will take the stage on Oct 18 at Moonstar Studio (Ladprao Soi 80) as part of his international tour around the US, Asia and Australia. Other Asian destinations include Singapore, China, Indonesia and Japan. 

Tickets will go on sale at B2,200 each this Friday, Aug 5 at 10am, from Thaiticketmajor, tour promoter Viji Corp announced today.

As lead singer of The Smiths, the popular English rock band known for '80s hits like "How Soon is Now?" and "Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now," Morrissey found global fame for his deapan delivery and lyrics dripping with dry wit and political themes. Since the band broke up in 1987, Morrissey has put out 10 solo albums, including 2014's World Peace is None of Your Business.
