Perspectives Film Festival 2014 (Oct 16-19)

The Perspective Film Festival returns for its seventh year, this time centering on the theme of displacement. Films being screened include Salaam Bombay! (1988) by Mira Nair, Hedwig and the Angry Inch (2001) by John Cameron Mitchell, and Australian cult favorite Walkabout (1971) by Nicolas Roeg.

BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore (Oct 17-26)

The prestigious Women Tennis Association (WTA) Finals will take place in Singapore for the first time ever this year, with stars like Serena Williams, Maria Sharapova and Simona Halep battling it out for the record US$6.5m prize. SuperBrunch: The Voyage (Oct 19)
