OCT 31-NOV 1: Youth Culture Exhibition Market

The bare industrial space on the sixth floor of Central Embassy turns into a creative market featuring appearances by fashion stores by art and design students, a mixed-media art installation by the likes of 56th Studio and Teaspoon Studio, a music zone, and a food and drink zone with apperances by Casa Lapin, Maison Jean Philippe, Barbie and Bottle and many more. Live DJs and bands like DCNXTR, Fwends and Yellow Fang. See here for a full lineup of participating brands. 11am-midnight.

NOV 1: Pronto Carnival

For the lovers of all things denim, Pronto Denim returns with its fourth "carnival" under the theme "World Racing Day," taking shelter under the tents at Parc Paragon. Expect a lineup of over 12 brands of jeans, including Nudie Jeans Co., Naked and Famous, Japan Blue, Momotaro Jeans, Iron Heart, Wear House and more. 12pm till late.

OCT 30-NOV1: Night Bike Market 2

Here's an excuse to revisit the chill, picturesque riverside community mall. This weekend sees a three-day market selling bikes and related gear, as well as food and activity stalls such as bicycle painting workshops. Live music throughout the weekend. Cyclists can also take part in the Tha Maharaj Night Trip on Oct 31. While you're already in the area, check out our guide for other things to do in Bangkok's Old Town. 4-10pm.

Oct 31-Nov 1: Play It Art

This new pop-up market take over the grounds of Hua Lamphong Station (think Made By Legacy last year). Expect lots of vintage items, handmade crafts, a small art exhibition as well as art workshops. There’s already a pretty good food lineup too (Mulatto, Cheese & more), plus live indie music across the two days by singers from The Voice Thailand, Folkwhite, Fwends, Youth Brush and Pijika. 4pm-midnight.

OCT 31: VolksKraft Art & Craft Market

Launching this Oct 31, VolksKraft Art & Craft Market is a new tri-monthly event offering a real taste of the slow life. Aimed at connecting small-scale local craft enterprises with an urban audience, the debut event will feature over 20 shops of local craft and related social enterprises. Other highlights will include a "shibori" tie-dye workshop with natural dyes, a workshop on hand-crafting accessories from fabric and a discussion (in Thai) on the theme of "Thai Local Textiles as a Lifestyle Choice" featuring SEA Write Award-winning poet and national artist Naowarat Pongpaiboon plus other figures in Thai craft circles. Expect shops from the likes of Go Went Gone, FolkCharm Crafts, Bhukram and POET. 11.30am-7pm.

OCT 31: The Knack Market

The monthly '70s-themed market returns to the lawn of the Jam Factory at the end of this month, with music by 5-piece band Funkylitian, plus the usual crafts and homemade food market. They'll also be making an appearance at this year's Wonderfruit Festival. 4-9pm.

OCT 30-Nov 1: Street Box by Artbox Thailand

So it seems that Bangkok's biggest pop-up market (that doesn't feel like a pop-up anymore) will be staying with us through December. Special to the market this weekend, though, is their collaboration with Street Box, adding a nwe streetwear market & culture zone, a fashion show, as well as a rap battle, b-boy battle and a hip-hop concert. 4pm-midnight.

FAIRS: 

THROUGH NOV 1: 20th Bangkok Book Fair

Returning for its 20th year and still going strong, this is Thailand's biggest annual book fair, showcasing books from publishers around the country, along with several new book launches and talks with famous national authors. This is your last chance to find a new read. Be warned: the fair gets very crowded during the weekend. Artbox is also just next door. 10am-9pm.
