In Sydney's Pyrmont suburb, the boutique 1888 Hotel, named after the year Kodak launched their box and roll camera patent, is the world's first Instagram hotel.

This hip 90-room property is fitted out with Australian influenced decor, incorporating artwork by Australian artists, natural elements like reclaimed iron bark, stone and bronze, exposed brick walls and the listed building's original heritage features.

The hotel incorporates instagram-friendly walking tour maps for the Pyrmont area, Instagram images on display in the reception's Mac space and a selfie space to take your own picture momentos. 

Instagram users with over 10,000 followers can claim a free night at the hotel, and the guest that takes the best Instagram photo each month also gets a free night for a future visit to Sydney.

The 1888 Eatery & Bar serves up continental breakfasts, a selection of beer and wine, and cuisine that uses fresh, local ingredients.
