One of Singapore's most popular attractions, Merlion Park, on the opposite side of Marina Bay from Marina Bay Sands, is home to Singapore's unofficial mascot, the Merlion, a mythical creature with the head of a lion and the body of a fish. There are five Merlions of note around the country of which the largest is a 37-meter tall replica, complete with Mouth Gallery Viewing Deck on the ninth storey, on Sentosa Island.
