From the numerous museums playing host to two of the region’s biggest arts events—Singapore Biennale and Art Stage Singapore—Bras Basah might lay claim to be Singapore’s “Art District”. Located at the heart of the city, there are also various historical buildings located here as this was once the administrative centre of Singapore when the island was under British rule.
