MU‑ving on Up
Champion of homegrown designers TANGS is hosting local darling MU’s pop-up shop at Level 2 for three months (through Oct 24), stocking an exclusive capsule collec tion of womenswear ($39 upwards). Breezy, draped dresses, spliced blouses and voluminous skirts are the result of merging contrasting elements: traditional and modern, raw shapes and crisp lines. “I have personally draped some of the pieces and it is a retrospective of what I was popular for when I first started out,” says MU’s founder Alfie Leong. “Silks are tied and dyed by hand and washable. Each one is unique.”

In the Bag
The Banwagon boys (local graphic designers Tok Lengfei and Gareth Dean Lee) have expanded their accessories collection with some sexy new pieces, including a leather tote bag ($485), a passport holder ($165) and a small bi-fold wallet ($185). Each of the label’s goods are handmade and the leather used in the latest range hails from Horween Leather Company and Wickett & Craig of America, two of the oldest tanneries in the US. Available at Front Row

Up to Par
Golf is one of those sports where style is a game in it self— just look at Walter Hagen and Ian Poulter. For your sartorial golf fix, there’s Swedish label J.lindeberg, which has just opened its second store at Suntec City Mall. The Autumn/Winter 2013 collection features bright pops of red, blue, green and yellow on classic sport swear styles (think polos, sweaters and pants, $129 upwards), so you can look sharp and a little bit adventurous even on the fair ways.

Lucky us: French label agnès b.’s traveling showcase, the Snap Cardigan Photo Exhibition, will be making its first stop in Singapore. Expect to see close to 70 photographs depicting the brand ’s signature Snap Cardigan, shot by artists all over the world including local filmmaker Royston Tan. “Agnès b. has always had a great admiration for A sian artists and this exhibition allow a fresh injection of artistic views from the region,” says brand manager Felix Seow.

Party like a Rockstar
Multi-label store-chain Rockstar (by Soon Lee) is celebrating its fourth anniversary with a month-long sale and exclusive cupcakes (through Aug 25) at both outlets. Goods are 10% off storewide (till Aug 31) and a selected label will go at 15% off (through Aug 25).
