Myanmar artist Zaw Win Pe works primarily in oil and acrylic for his abstract depictions of landscapes on canvas pieces. Most of his works are influenced by his visits to the Northeastern state of Shan near China, where he captures, through the pieces, a distinct sense of place and intrinsic identity. Through his visual commentaries, the works present a unique and intimate opportunity for art-goers to explore the rich complexities of the region’s diverse socio-cultural environments.
