At the 120,000 sq. ft. National Planetarium, feast your eyes on permanent exhibits related to space science, including the Arianne IV space engine, one of the engines that was used to launch MEASAT 1, Malaysia’s first satellite, into space. After that, head towards the observatory and explore the space and stars through its 14-inch telescope.

The Islamic Arts Museum is South East Asia's largest museum of Islamic arts and contains more than 7,000 artifacts from around the world representing the very best of Islamic art, science, culture and history. The vast open plan museum showcases items ranging from hand-written Qurans to tapestries to one of the world's largest scale models of the Masjid al-Haram in Mecca.

If you’re strapped for time scouring for arts and craft in the city, just head to massive one-stop arts and craft center. You can get your hands on anything and everything from Malaysian handicraft to batik works to silver and brass wares to reproduction of ancient masks. There is also a permanent museum exhibition here that showcases traditional Malaysian collectibles like musical instruments and clay water vessels.
