The Hilton group’s offering a Great Getaway discount (40 percent off the regular rates) for bookings through July 23 for stays through September 30.

The international World Expo 2012 runs through August 12 and features environmental and cultural exhibits from 104 countries, as well as a laser light-producing structure called the Big-O, which projects colorful shows onto a water screen.
