Everyone, it would appear, is opening a hotel in the picturesque city of Hangzhou. This year, welcome Banyan Tree Hangzhou and Four Seasons Hangzhou—the latter is scheduled to open soon. The Banyan Tree is built within Xixi National Wetland Park, the only one of its kind in China. The hotel is modeled after a traditional village, with 72 water terrace suites and spacious villas. There’s also the famous Banyan Tree spa, which offers signature treatments using traditional Asian remedies. Rates start at RMB2,500 ($507). The Four Seasons, meanwhile, is located by the famous West Lake and promises scenic views of the area from its 78 rooms and three villas.
