SINGAPORE VENUE

1st Storey

The buzz: The men do have it good. 1st Storey is the latest pop-up concept store, which comprises a boutique, art gallery and collectible vintage store all rolled into one, catering only to the guys.

The vibe: Its homelike and rustic setting is befitting of the Tiong Bahru hood it’s in. The tight 120 sq. m. space is chock-full of clothes, accessories, ceramics and artworks. There’re 16 homegrown brands including Coupé-Cousu and Mils, as well as little-heard-of new labels Steel and Atias.

The goods: Key utilitarian pieces like the huge RegiMen tote bags are great for those who are looking for big storage and compartments ($169 upwards), while the reworked Atias tees using found fabrics, all one-offs, are statement pieces for vintage lovers ($99 upwards). Clothes aside, other highlights include the funky pop artworks by local artist Andre Tan ($880 upwards), one-off shades by Mystic Vintage ($229 upwards), customized bowls, plates and ceramics by IEX Asian Heritage ($159 upwards).

Why you’ll be back: The collectible artworks sure are worth saving up for. Plus, this will only be around till January next year.
