The buzz: The newest entry into our golfing scene aims to make the sport more accessible. It’s big on heart too: this café-bar-indoor golfing center recently held two nights of charity tournaments in April with the Adam Scott Foundation Asia.

The vibe: Singapore’s first golf-themed bar and café with a private area for golfing, movie nights or serious business presentations, all in a two-story shophouse in the eclectic Duxton Road. Rolling out the green carpet (literally), they’re bringing the golfing experience indoors.

The goods: The simulator is both kindergarten and broker-friendly, boasting the most advanced technology and interactive graphics. It’s programmed to replicate the real deal (from Scotland to Tanah Merah; 20 GPA Championship courses are available), with options to adjust temperature, wind, elevation and sound settings. Using a total of 86 sensors, it measures ball flight parameters and golf swing characteristics, with individual virtual club fitting and cumulative swing analyses programs. Enough golf gab— try it for yourself at $65-75 an hour, regardless of number of participants.

Why you’ll be back: Cheap beer ($5 from 6-7pm daily), hearty “sandwedges” ($10.80 each, with potato chips or salad) and good Italian coffee (from $3.50). Plus you don’t have to pretend to know what you’re talking about.
