They’re not kidding when they call this place “super”—from the must-try roasted Peking duck (it’s one of the best we’ve had) to the opulent and classy décor here (which resembles a chill out bar replete with plush sofas and mood lighting)—dining here is one superb experience. Part of the popular Imperial Treasure chain of dining establishments—this is probably their most impressive yet. From the moment you step onto its luxurious carpets to the friendly and attentive service staff that are literally at your beck and call, the ambiance here is nothing less than stellar (deserving of the hefty service charge that we had to cough up at the end of the meal). Thankfully, the food is equally gorgeous. Our set meal of $90++ per person gave us the opportunity to sample some of the best signature dishes they have to offer: While our choice of cold dishes including braised ears and beancurd wrapped with mushrooms were a bit tepid (even by our standards), our mains were nothing less than fantastic. The star of our meal was undoubtedly the whole roasted Peking duck, delicately and beautifully roasted to perfection; the chef even carved out a few special pieces of duck skin to go with some unpolished sugar—one of the best ways to enjoy this delicacy, in fact. Likewise our other mains of braised supreme shark’s fin with chicken in claypot; braised sliced abalone; braised wagyu beef in homemade style; and shanghai noodle with diced vegetable and diced vegetable, were all simply and completely, faultless. The wagyu beef, especially, is melt-in-your-mouth heaven while the soup-based shanghai noodle was a perfect end to our meal. For unparalleled Chinese fine dining witch a touch of star quality to boot, look no further.

Reviews are written from a typical diner’s perspective. A dining experience includes more than just food; ratings are also based on service, atmosphere and fun.
