It's no longer the lesser (seedier, less hip) neighbor of sexy Duxton Hill. This month, Duxton Road looks set to be the next big thing in dining.

Already making waves in the food critic circle is newcomer Dibs, an unpretentious diner serving up genre-defying cuisine. This under-marketed restaurant has all the trappings of the latest hipster foodie hangout: Deconstructed chicken rice! Sharing plates of bone marrow and off-cuts! Flavored umeshus! House-smoked jerky! Bacon in their desserts! It's like an issue of Lucky Peach come to life. Chef Leong Khai Git doesn't yet execute dishes with the polish of the quasi-celebrity restaurateurs that we're used to, but he more than makes up for it with raw talent.
