Bastille Day parties and wine dinners galore await oenophiles this month.

To kick things off, there's the Wine Cocktail Social (July 12) at Buyan, a new wine club event where you get to sample canapes along with two glasses of wine (you pick from a selection of 10 boutique specimens). Additional glasses go for $12/glass and $45/bottle.

Mark the French National Day at the French Bastille Day Party (July 13) at wine bar O Batignolles. They’re offering free-flow Champagne and nibbles (6:30-9pm) for $25, and glasses red, white or rose wine at $5 from 9pm until late.

Also, Francophiles won’t want to miss Viva La France Indoor Picnic at Cafe & Bar Gavroche (July 13), featuring camembert, pork rillettes, pâté en croûte and sweet madeleines, all washed down with plenty of red wine.

It’s Christmas Down Under too. And to celebrate, hit up 'Strine Wine & Dine (July 18) at Intrepid Gastro Bar where you’ll sample wines from the Antipodes paired with hearty Australian food. Pairings include fillet of beef with smoked onion jam with Flametree Cabernet Sauvignon, and rose pavlova and Seifried Sweet Agnes Ice Riesling. The event’s limited to 20 people.

After that, there's Reinventing Chile Wine Dinner (June 22) at Prive Grill, a five course meal hosted by Axel Veda including pairings like oyster tartar and sea bass ceviche with De Martino Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2012.

Later in the month, at A Tour of California Wines (July 24) at db Bistro Moderne, dig into a five course meal designed by executive chef Jonathan Kinsella paired with fine Napa Valley wines. Expect pairings like warm butter poached spanner crab with Freemark Abbey Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2009, as well as barbecue pork belly with Byron Santa Barbara Pinot Noir 2010.

On July 25, head to the Salt tapas presents Wynns Coonawarra & Coldstream Hills Wine Dinner for some Aussie pairings like Wynns Coonawarra riesling 2010 with pan seared scallops and cauliflower puree.

And—not just for July—there’s Weekdays Uncorked, a weekly event (Mon-Fri) by Crystal Wines, where you get to try eight specially selected wines for $10. If you like the wines you taste and buy two bottles, they'll refund the tasting fee.
