Resorts World Sentosa is proving that it has just as much pulling power as Marina Bay Sands with the news that they have two hot chef openings lined up.

For starters, Japan's Hal Yamashita will open his first overseas outlet in Singapore in late December. The award-winning chef has clinched titles like World Best Chef at the World Gourmet Summit, as well as being appointed special advisor to the UN World Food Programme. Syun promises to feature lots of seasonal produce and premium ingredients used in a modern way.

The other new chef arrival is from a little closer to home as Thailand's Ian Kittichai joins Tangerine at ESPA, taking over the resort's healthy spa cuisine restaurant from chefs Sam and Forest Leong in early 2015. The Thai native has opened restaurants in New York, Mumbai and Bangkok and comes to RWS as a consulting chef for the restaurant. Expect classic Thai dishes with a twist with lots of fresh produce and natural flavors. He's pretty decorated, too with flagship Bangkok restaurant Issaya Siamese Club ranked 31st in Asia's 50 Best Restaurants and earning a spot as a permanent Iron Chef in the Thai version of the show.
