New chefs set to take Equinox Complex to new heights

By Zaki Jufri | published Sep 07, 2010

Two new chefs are set to take Swissôtel The Stamford's entertainment and dining hub Equinox Complex with their dazzling culinary prowess at the next installment of Chefs With Altitude.

Taking over the mantle at Jaan from award-winning Chef Andre Chiang will be Swedish Chef de Cuisine Ebbe Vollmer who will impress gourmands with his 'Essentialist Cuisine'. Drawing inspiration from modern Scandinavian influences, it uses seasonal ingredients to create clear and sophisticated textures. Chef Vollmer arrives at Jaan after a successful stint at Gordon Ramsay’s eponymous three-Michelin-star restaurant in England.

At the helm of Equinox Restaurant's kitchen once again will be the Michelin-starred Chef Irma Dütsch. After a successful stint here back in 2008, Dütsch will tantalize palates with a showcase of her winning creations such as Venison Tartar with Poached Egg and Valais Air-dried Meat, Sweetbread Parfait Rolled in Leek as well as the rare Swiss Sander Fish Scented with Mund Saffron.

Chefs With Altitude happens from Oct 10-16.
