Coffee celebration festival Cafe Fest in coming up in September, but in the meantime here are more new cafes to get your next caffeine fix.

JBM Coffee & Dining

This coffee joint and Italian-French bistro serves much more hearty dishes than your regular cafe fare. Think experimental mains like frog legs with ravioli and delicious classics like beef tenderloin cubes in a creamy mushroom onion sauce. They've also got some breakfast wraps and sandwiches for that morning dash with your in-house roasted coffee.

The Lokal

Helmed by Aussie chef Darren Farr, this Neil Road hipster haven serves up legit food like veal schnitzel burgers and weekend brunches with toasted banana bread, caramelized bananas, vanilla yogurt and macadamia. They serve reasonably priced coffees (starting at $4) from Sarnies and tea blends like orange, cinnamon and rooibos.

Sin Lee Foods

The repurposed vintage hawker stall trend is still going strong with the now-defunct Tiong Bahru prawn mee joint-turned-hip cafe. Housed in a colonial black and white unit, the cafe could be easily missed but serves comforting grub like fried chicken waffles and tomato-baked eggs with potatoes and sausages. The food itself doesn't come cheap, but it's made up for with their smooth roasted coffee beans that make a mean cup of joe.

Three Cups Coffee Co.

CBD-ites aren't neglected when it comes to coffee. This cozy One Raffles Place cafe specializes in a signature microroasted blend of Brazilian and Sumatran beans that can be aeropressed or cold-brewed. They also do great grab-and-go food like a reuben roast beef sandwich and smoked duck mandarin orange wraps.
