Baize & China One
Located in Clarke Quay, this understated bar with its tasteful wood furniture and lounge music is good for that after-hours drink and to entertain guests. The pool lounge is perfect for relaxing or to break the ice. Resident band Tabula plays a good mix of party music, pop, rock, top 40s, alternative and reggae while resident jock Tony To spins mainstream house and pop.

Bar Cocoon
Enter this cool Clarke Quay bar and you’ll feel like you’ve been transported to another world. Opium beds, antique pieces, flowing drapes and dim lanterns craft a chic and sensuous ambience that is perfect for an amazing night out.

The Chupitos Bar
Possibly Singapore's first shooters bar, Chupitos is great if you want to impress a tourist friend because they don't just serve you your drink, they yank up the mood with some dramatic props and tricks.

Crazy Elephant
A long-time rock and blues institution in our live music scene, this cozy Clarke Quay bar never disappoints, especially when resident act The Blues Machine takes the stage. The jokes being screened on the TVs are hilarious. Even stars such as REM, Deep Purple and Robbie Williams have graced this modest spot.

Le Noir
With a name like that (French for “the black”), don’t expect to let loose and go wild at this sexy Clarke Quay bar. From its elaborate, glittering chandelier and rich black draping right down to the shimmering black sand on the floor, this bar oozes intimacy and subdued sophistication. You can already see the VIPs, the uber-beautiful and the glamorous flocking here for a sexy, slinky soiree.

The Pump Room
Other than its delicious range of micro-brewed beer and sumptuous bistro fare, The Pump Room is also known for its rocking live music, namely its resident band Jive Talkin' which belts out infectious rock and pop hits.

Shuffle
If mandopop is truly your thing, Shuffle's probably your best bet. It's got a grand lineup of eight local bands performing a mix of Chinese and English hits, and serves up some easy-on-the-stomach grub like Indo mee goreng and Spam with carrot cake. Great for after-work drinks.

Zirca
Clarke Quay’s hotspot for unadulterated audio bliss has been a magnet for party animals waning to get their dose of electronic beats from its stable of residents DJs who dish out delicious servings of trance, electro and progressive house. Head here for a good dose of Singapore nightlife.
