Twenty-four years in the industry and … people are not keeping it original. The media has stopped people from being creative; dictating what’s good with music channels like VH1 and MTV. These days, it's about who you know and not about your talent.

Deejaying is … my interpretation on how I feel through music. It's a way of life, a culture.

1998 was … the year I was inducted into the DMC-Technics Hall of Fame with the title of “World's Greatest DJ.”

I was banned from competing in the DMC championships because … DMC thought that I was too advanced for the competition.

I want to tell young turntablists … Three things: Study me, study me and study me. Also, be original, practice, create something that hasn't been done and always know your history.

Hip hop … stinks now, it was better back then.

My fans in Singapore can expect … a lot of magic and no sitting down!

Bank on Cash Money as he works his magic on Sep 10, 9pm at St. James Power Station, 3 Sentosa Gateway, 6270-7676. $28 includes two drinks.
