Rock and roll superstars Aerosmith, all Asian girl group Blush, digital music record-breaker Ceelo Green and history's most influential K-pop artiste PSY, will be performing at the Social Star Awards (May 23) and The Singapore Social (May 24-25) happening in Singapore. More recently announced acts - Carly Rae Jepsen, Sky Blu and Youtube sensations Marquese Scott and Tummy Talk - are set to join the lineup. Another proud announcement is the confirmation of Jessica Alba as the host of the awards show. Organisers, Starcount, say the list is far from exhaustive as they have more big names to announce in the upcoming weeks.
Aerosmith, Blush, Ceelo Green, PSY, Carly Rae Jepsen, Sky Blu and more will be performing at the Social Star Awards (May 23) and The Singapore Social (May 24-25).
The international acts will first show at Marina Bay Sands, where the unique 24-hour event presenting 288 awards to brands from across the world is being held, before performing at the potentially groundbreaking post-awards concert weekend at Gardens by the Bay. Adding to the burgeoning list of artists are YouTube sensations, Marquese Scott and Tummy Talk.
Aside from its rockstar entertainment lineup, Hollywood femme star, Jessica Alba is set to host the awards show and will be in accompaniment of other big names attending the event such as Star Trek helmsman George Takei, international DJ Seb Fontaine, American model Amanda Lepore and New York producer Suzanne Bartch. The unique Social Star Awards will also feature a four-course meal prepared by the team at CUT (the restaurant opened by official Academy Awards chef Wolfgang Puck), specially for VIP guests.
Tickets for the awards ceremony (including those for The Connected package for abovementioned VIPs—price on request), range from $388 (non-dining theater-style tiered seating) to $32,888 for a table of 10 (includes free flow drinks, dinner and access to VIP-only after party).
Various ticket categories are also available for The Singapore Social. Each ticket ranges from $150-500, with options for dedicated private areas, free flow drinks and even customized audio systems.
The Social Star Awards and The Singapore Social will be streamed on YouTube throughout, and may see some of the world's most revered personalities (see nomination highlights or watch the video below) on its red carpet. The events are presented by and are based on data from Starcount, an online aggregator that draws out the high achievers from 1.7 billion users around the world across 11 social media networks.
