With the news of Butter Factory’s closure, the local nightlife scene may have been looking a little down in the dumps lately. Not to worry though, there are a slew of exciting dance and music festivals in the coming months to keep you raving through the night.

1. Play Live:2014

Organized by Singapore-based company Ideology Concept, this mega music and clubbing event will see Marina Bay Sands Expo Halls converted into various party zones, with flashy features like an indoor dome bar and glow-in-the-dark lounges. Expect a line-up of emerging international DJs and musicians, such as Dutch EDM duo TV Noise, 2013 X-Factor winner Dami Im and popular Youtube artist Daniela Andrade.

2. Illumi Nation Singapore

If you get a kick out of sporting events like The Color Run (but are looking to exert less energy) you can spend the night partying away at Illumi Nation. This music festival is Asia’s first glow in the dark paint party at Siloso Beach, with DJ Superstars such as Bingo Players, Dada Life, and Martin Solveig.

3. It's The Ship

This unique music festival is to be held on board Royal Caribbean International’s ‘"Voyager of the Seas", one of the world's largest cruise liners. The solid lineup includes crowd favorites Lil Jon, Chvrches and The Bloody Beetroots and the vessel itself boasts impressive features including 14 guest decks, a Vegas-style casino and a FlowRider surf simulator. Not a bad way to spend 4 days and 5 nights, especially when the end destination is an idyllic tropical beach in Langkawi.

4. Zoukout

And of course, don’t forget to end the year with a bang at ZoukOut 2014. The internally-renowned clubbing festival returns this December, with a line-up of over 20 international and local artists over two stages. Highlights include Dutch DJ Nicky Romero, electro-house maestro Steve Aoki and Steve Angello of internationally-renowned music trio Swedish House Mafia.
